AJU Auto Rental Co., Ltd. have announced that the KTX(Korea Train Express) has appointed AVIS as car rental provider on the 24th of January.
After reviewing a set of business proposals from the industry, the KTX have selected AVIS
Korea for its streamlined operation and experiences through the nationwide network.
As part of follow-up measures, AVIS have opened branch offices at 9 local KTX stations
to kick up its business on the 19th of February. Again, they are preparing a plan to present
short-term products for business travelers.
In addition, AVIS is reviewing a plan to provide up to 60% discount on presentation of a train ticket during the initial 2 months after the opening of the Express service.
According to Namgeung Euk, the AVIS marketing team leader, AVIS will come with up with a plan to promote foreign travelers to use the Express service and extend choices of vehicles, including brand-news and imported cars secured.
With the service network in over 160 countries, AVIS Rent-a-Car have operated car rental
service centers for TGV and Eurostar.
